About
We'll go over more advanced (but very fun) aspects in mechanics that might not be traditionally taught in your last physics class you took. If you're interested in rocket motion, systems of springs, gyroscopes, and differences in time with spaceships traveling near the speed of light, then you might enjoy what we talk about!
To get the most out of the sessions, you should have a firm understand of calculus of at least the AP Calculus BC level, and a physics background of at least AP Physics 1.
Textbooks we'll use:
- Morin, D. (2023). Introduction to classical mechanics: With problems and solutions. Cambridge University Press.
- Kleppner, D., & Kolenkow, R. J. (2014). An introduction to mechanics. Cambridge University Press.
✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY
Please try to make it to all the sessions! The continuity helps you get more out of the material and makes the group experience better too. If you can't make it to one of the sessions, be sure to check out the material for that day in the "Assignments" tab, and message me if you have any questions!
