Hey there Nicole! Hope you're doing well, and welcome to Schoolhouse! I just want to say, amazing job on your first few sessions here. I was genuinely impressed when reviewing your session -- you do a lot of things that even the most advanced tutors do! I really liked how you started off with the Jamboard as an icebreaker. It made things a lot more comfortable for your learners while giving you a good understanding of their knowledge of the topic. Really well done! I can also see that you obviously put a lot of effort into the slideshow you made for the session, it was organized, detailed, and provided relevant examples -- I especially liked how you talked about the nuances to certain portions of an essay (i.e. when you were talking about hooks, you explained how to identify and integrate the context and purpose of ones hook). I also really liked how you worked examples with the learners -- such as the "is this debatable" section of your presentation. I was also very impressed by how detailed you were, making sure to emphasize certain core ideas like a "debatable" thesis and discussing many different types of hooks. Smartly done!
