I´m not a native English speaker so your way of explaining helped me a lot, your tips for the reading part helped so much, thank you.

Lincoln, I can tell that you knew what you were talking about when hosting this session. One thing I liked in particular was that you explained what the domains of SAT R&W were in simpler terms. These learners are likely familiar with the types of problems that were mentioned but did not make the correlation to the title of the domain until you clarified it. When you explain the concepts, you make sure to be thorough yet also understandable, and constantly check to see if the learners are following. This shows that you're aware that they do not have the same fluency in the subject as you do, and you're considerate of it. The tips that you give are valuable and relevant to the questions asked by the learners. Overall, you did a great job!

Thank you for greeting the learners at the beginning of the session! I like that when a lot of the learners were stumped on a certain question, you reassured them that it came out of the hard section on Khan Academy. You also make sure to check on the learners' understanding, asking "did that make sense? I know it's very complex." Similarly, make sure that you say something like "good job!" when the learners get something correct when they participate. In general, you're great at empathizing with the learner, which will definitely prove to be useful in encouraging them across this series.

Thank you so much for the great session on PSAT and dSAT! Lincoln was very friendly and understanding throughout the session and was just a great tutor from start to finish! Whenever a problem appeared that was super hard Lincoln made sure to explain how to solve the problem before showing a much faster/easier method to use during the dSAT and PSAT to get the right answer and save time!

Throughout the session, the learner said she understood the material after you explained it, which shows that the learner made progress due to your teaching.

Tutor took lots of time explaining

-I can clearly tell that you're explaining the question and answer to the learners and not just thinking out loud during the "I do" section. There's a clear distinction to be made between those two actions, and since you use language like "let's look through the answers" and "...right?" (implying that you're doing the problem together), you make it clear that you are inviting the learners to ask questions as needed while you're going through the problem. -You called on a specific learner to explain her thought process behind getting the correct answer to a practice problem. You have her walk you through every step that she took, allowing you to see if there were any flaws in her reasoning. -Based on the learners' reasonings that they explained, you give tips that are specific to problem but can also be applied to any practice problems of the type. An example of this is when you said that the last sentence of a passage is typically the claim or assertion. Definitely continue to employ this type of strategy!
