This was a fun lesson!

You did a great job by facilitating a learning environment by maintaining your composure, pace, and tone throughout the session. To me, it seems like this kept the session more in the relaxed side and allowed you and your learner to get straight to the math. It was very clear that as the session progressed, your learner was understanding definitions, was increasingly able to apply concepts that you taught, and most importantly, felt confident enough to tackle it on their own. You also build a sense of trust with them because somewhere near the middle of your session, your learner established that they will come back for your assistance if they still struggled which is a wonderful sign!

Thank you for this session! I loved the kahoot format!

I liked how you let the learner take charge of the session and do most of the questions on their own. Keep it up! This also ties into encouraging learners to explain their thinking. I noticed that you let the learner annotate their own work and only stepped in when they seemed stuck or made a mistake. This is really beneficial since it increases learner engagement and also helps you understand where learners are going wrong. Great job!

The tutor strengthened Amina’s confidence by saying “Good job” when she correctly plotted reflection points. The tutor created a welcoming space by patiently correcting mistakes, like Amina’s reflection line, with clear midpoint explanations.
