There was clear progress throughout the session. For instance, at the beginning students seemed less confident in their understanding of SAT strategies, but by the end they were able to work through more complex questions like the rhetorical synthesis problem. To show even more concrete progress, consider doing a quick recap/assessment at the end to reinforce the key strategies learned.

You created an awesome learning environment! Your patience and encouragement, like when you told Max "Yeah, you're correct", helped students feel comfortable sharing their thoughts. You did a great job explaining the questions in depth and ensure the learners understood the reasoning by checking in with them to see if they have additional question. To further allow students to demonstrate progress, consider incorporating opportunities for active student participation. After explaining the concepts and working through examples, encourage learners to share their own strategies for approaching similar question types. Alternatively, you could present a new question that utilizes similar strategies and ask learners to work through it independently before discussing their approaches. These activities not only assess learner understanding but also promote a deeper level of engagement and collaboration within the learning environment.

I liked the questions that he gave us. He was very patient and tried helping everyone. He made sure to explain each question properly. I noticed that he was a bit nervous but he still managed to explain the questions properly. I am looking forward to more classes with him.

You did an excellent job encouraging participation throughout the session. You consistently asked students to share their reasoning, like when you had Max analyze your score distribution. For the "we do" strategy, you could improve by giving students more time to work through problems together before explaining. However, you were great at building on students' ideas, like when you expanded on Max's analysis of the vocabulary question at 57:36. Keep encouraging that kind of collaborative thinking!

You demonstrated excellent preparation and in-depth knowledge of SAT content. Your explanations of key concepts like vocabulary strategies, time management, and question types were thorough and clear. For example, you gave specific advice on vocabulary study: "I think what you should do is to, you know, to memorize the vocabularies on a daily basis, so that you you must assign yourself. You know, about 50 words one day, so that you can complete it the whole cycle." You also showed great depth of knowledge when discussing more complex topics like rhetorical synthesis questions. To improve even further, you could prepare some visual aids or diagrams in advance to illustrate key concepts more quickly, but currently you're doing an incredible job! Keep it up!

While your learners actively engaged in asking questions, watching you solve, and working out problems independently, consider solving problems together or trying different tactics. I like how you solved the question at the 58 minutes mark; however, you can allow the student to work out the answer and explain. These questions encourage learners to engage with the material, articulate their own thinking, and develop their critical thinking skills.

The slides are easy to follow and comprehend. Listing your past scores and sharing your own tips and strategies on how you improved over the year made the lesson more unique and beneficial to the learners. You effectively explained the process, solved the problem and provided a reasonable explanation of the underlying concepts to the learners 58 minutes into the session. However, consider asking the learner(s) why the answer choices A,C and D do not work. Also, consider sharing tips such as eliminating answers if the learners do not know the terms.
