2 Series

🧮🧮 Grade 10 Math Grind 🧮🧮

    Ended Sun, Apr 16, 2023

We will be doing 2 Sessions every week. The goal is to go through important mathematical concepts in each chapter, and solve the most important and distinctive types of problems from each. I will try to keep this series as regular as possible assuming I can cope with my grade 11 workload. We will aim to complete one new chapter every 2 sessions. We will also have occasional revision sessions based on what everyone's finding hard. The goal is to finish a month or two before the board exams (hence the early start) so that we can begin working on sample papers until the exams. Here is the tentative plan-: April-: Real Numbers, Polynomials May-: Pairs of Linear Equations in two Variables, 1/2 of Quadratic Equations June-: 1/2 of Quadratic Equations, 1/2 of Arithmetic Progressions July-: 1/2 of Arithmetic Progressions, Coordinate Geometry August-: Triangles September-: Circles October-: Trigonometry November-: Remaining Trigonometry, Areas Related to Circles December-: Surface Areas and Volumes, Statistics Jan-: Statistics Continued, Buffer time/ Mock Papers Feb-: Buffer time/ Mock Papers I recommend watching Khan Academy videos here to get an overall idea of the topic before joining the sessions, where we can work out the specifics and work on mainly solving problems: https://www.khanacademy.org/math/in-in-grade-10-ncert I will post notes and homework problems here: ( https://classroom.google.com/c/NTE4MzM4ODkxNTgz?cjc=lbjdbwr ) so that those who can't join a particular session don't miss out on the material covered. I will clear doubts for y'all who can't tune in separately. However, try to join in the main sessions whenever possible. Let's do this!

High-School Optics

    Ended Sun, Apr 3, 2022

We'll be going through the concept of light, as well as it's properties and allied phenomena on a fundamental level. This series mainly focusses on Geometrical Optics and will cover the properties as well as phenomena caused by light and optical tools like mirrors, lens, etc. Here's what we aim to cover in this series-: Light and it's Properties Important Terminology relating to Geometrical Optics Reflection of Light and Associated Concepts and Terms Plane Mirrors and their Properties Spherical Mirrors and their Properties Applications of these Mirrors Refraction of Light and Associated Concepts and Terms Spherical Lenses and their Properties Obviously, this is just an overview and many of these sections have their own subsets of topics which are greatly important in their own right, and which will be covered extensively. Detailed info on these will be given in each session's description along with recommended reading/video assignments and homework. This session is more on the theoretical side, and does not require much mathematical knowledge, hence, it does not require any preliminary knowledge. I don't think this series will take long, but cannot place an exact time value on it as we plan to go through this slowly, taking all the time we need to understand each and every concept in it's fullness, which might take any amount of time. I plan to do 2-3 sessions a week on maximum and these will be for the large part, on weekends. This is especially relevant for those covering these concepts in high school right now (This is largely based off of Indian High-School syllabi), though this is an exceedingly interesting topic for anyone. I encourage y'all to turn up with a paper and pen to note down anything interesting, and also attend as many sessions as possible as here, understanding is tied with continuity. Looking forward to having you!

CBSE Class 10th

Class X CBSE Mathematics 'Real Numbers' Chapter. This is the first chapter in CBSE Grade X Mathematics. This Chapter is divided into the following Segments-: Euclid's Divison Lemma and Algorithm Fundamental Theorem of Arithmetic (HCF and LCM) Rational Numbers Irrational Numbers I plan to evolve this into a series soon. In this session, we will be covering Rational Numbers. No prerequisite knowledge will be required besides that of Whole, Natural, and Integer Number Types, as well as the coverage of Rational Numbers in CBSE Grades, 7, 8, and 9. It doesn't matter if you follow a different syllabus like ISCE, IGCSE, IB, etc. the principles do not vary. You are encouraged to turn up with a pencil/pen and a notebook as we'll will be doing some practice problems from Secondary School Mathematics for Class 10 by R.S. Aggarwal, because it is more relevant to Indian Curriculum and Board Exams, especially in topics like this one. Optionally, you can also do it on the Zoom Whiteboard as well.

Welcome to Stock Market 101. In this session, I’ll be introducing you to the stock market. It’s history, why it exists, how it works, and it’s role in helping our economy prosper. This is for anyone who’s been interested in the stock market, but still has a fuzzy or no conception of what it is, it’s purpose, or how exactly it works. This is to be a basic introduction, and you need NO prior knowledge to be able to fully assimilate it. If this gets enough interest, we’ll start a series where we’ll probe deeper and deeper into the intricacies of the stock market, and how you can invest in it. If you just want to clear some doubts, terms or concepts, feel free to join!
