These sessions will span over the course of 5 weeks and each week we will meet two times. By the end of these sessions, you would have learnt about the basics of HTML & CSS and you would also have created several website projects. Please do take note this course will have extra work for you to do after the session as that is the best way to practice and not forget how to code.

HTML & CSS are the basic and backbones to a website, adding Javascript will make it more interactive. As learners finish this course, they can move on in my next series on Advanced Web Development Part 1.

HTML & CSS is everywhere, you can see it anytime you go on a website, even schoolhouse is build by HTML & CSS. It is a very important skill to learn

Throughout this whole course, the concepts of "usage" and "applications" will pop up always, it is the key of this course and we will always look towards these two concepts.

Welcome to the IB Economics Summer Prep-Course!

The IB Economics Summer Prep-Course is a comprehensive program designed for students who will be taking the International Baccalaureate (IB) Economics course in the upcoming academic year. However, students who are not taking the IB Diploma Program are also welcome to join. Students in the IB Diploma Program who currently are already taking IB Economics can also take this course to review for upcoming exams. This course will cover both standard level (SL) and higher level (HL) economics content. This intensive 24-session course is specifically tailored to provide students with a solid foundation in key economic concepts and skills, as well as a thorough understanding of the IB Economics curriculum.

Throughout the course, students will engage in a combination of lectures, discussions, and interactive activities to enhance their understanding of fundamental economic theories, principles, and applications. They will also develop critical thinking skills, data analysis skills, and essay writing skills that are essential for success in the IB Economics course.

The course will cover various topics, including microeconomics, macroeconomics, international economics, and development economics, as prescribed by the IB Economics curriculum. Students will learn about concepts such as supply and demand, market structures, national income, inflation, exchange rates, and economic development. They will also explore real-world examples and case studies to illustrate the application of economic theories in different contexts.

In addition to the academic content, the course will also emphasize the development of research skills, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation. Students will learn how to critically evaluate economic data, construct persuasive arguments, and write concise and coherent essays, which are important skills for the Internal Assessment (IA) and Extended Essay components of the IB Economics course.

Please do note that by registering for this course, there will be after-session assignments to complete. While these assignments may be optional, it will critically affect your understanding of the following session if you don't do it.

By the end of the summer prep-course, students will have gained a deep understanding of key economic concepts and acquired the necessary skills to excel in the IB Economics course. They will be well-prepared to tackle the challenges of the IB Economics curriculum, including the IA, Extended Essay, and final examinations.

大家好! Welcome to this course on the introduction of Mandarin Chinese! :)
In this 15+ session course, we will be going forward with learning all the fundamentals of reading, writing, and communicating in Mandarin Chinese. The goal by the end of this series is that you will be able to start a simple conversation using Chinese with one another and read some easy Chinese picture books.
Mandarin Chinese is a language that is getting more trendier to learn day by day, so it's definitely an important language to learn.
Besides learning, we will also be having themed fun nights and Q&A sessions. Themed fun nights is where the session is based on a traditional Chinese holiday and we have fun related to the holiday. Q&A sessions are where burning questions related to Mandarin Chinese can be answered. The 15 sessions do not include orientation, final closing session, themed fun nights, and Q&A sessions.
Please note that by signing up for this series, you will try your best to complete each assignment assigned at the end of each session, as that is the best way to practice learning a new language.

🔴 IB DIPLOMA PROGRAM YEAR 1 ADVICE

The IBDP program is a tough two-year rigorous academic program for 11th and 12th graders. The program is starting to become more popular and well-known in more schools around the world. Almost all the time, students do IBDP year 1 in grade 11 and IBDP year 2 in grade 12. All participants will do six courses of their choice along with three extra required courses, the program will result in final assignments submitted to the IB and exams taken in all six chosen courses. If the student is successful in the program, then he/she will receive the IB Diploma upon high school graduation.

I am a high school student that just finished 11th grade, which means I finished my first year of full IB, I still have one more year to go. However, if I cumulate together all my experiences in this first year of IB, there have been a lot of ups and downs. This is why in this series, I want to talk to you guys all about my experiences and advice to you guys on the first year of IB.

If you are going into the IB program a few years later or have already done the IB, you are still welcome to join, however, this series is specifically targeting towards those that are going into 11th grade and starting their IB Diploma program year 1.

This series will cumulate into three sessions. Please see below as to the detailed plans on what we will do for each session.

I will not be able to answer all your questions or give the full experience of IB, because I simply have not completed all two years, only one year. However, I can give to the best of my ability and give as much advice and answers as possible.

SHW Camp 2022: World History Timeline Project

History is the study of past events. A timeline is a graphic representation of what happened over a period of time through a line.

As a history nerd myself, I had an idea for a Schoolhouse 2022 summer camp where as a team, we work together and create a timeline of everything that happened in history since he beginning of time recorded.

If you love history or you are a creative person, you are welcome to join. Other than that anyone that wants to is welcome to join and help out making this timeline, but please do take note that by joining, you are agreeing that you will somewhat help with creating the timeline.

This camp will be based on discussion and teamwork, as a team we will create this timeline, therefore I will provide minimal instruction as possible. We will discuss all the logistical information including the software we will use to create the timeline in our first session.

This project will aim to finish on July 23rd, Saturday. We will be aiming to meet at least three times during the process of this project.

I am really excited to go through the process of creating a timeline illustrating world history with you all, I hope you all find this interesting and join too.
