This isn't applicable because it's a study space. Nice job making sure that Karolina could hear you and letting her know to ask for help if she needed any!

Hi Sabrina! Thank you very much for the session! It was both very informative and friendly. I realized I may have misread the session topic and thought it was a regular speech and debate session. I'm sorry if that caused any confusion! (This was only my second session, and I'm still new to the website😞) I really appreciate your time and patience.

Very informative and enlightening session. I learned a great deal, especially given that we don't study/learn debates and debating with such rigour and structure in my home country.

I like how you discussed important topics by simply having a conversation with the learner. This conversation was stress free. Additionally you stated "I'll ask you questions, and you kind of have to try to refute it". This is a good way to strengthen the learner's argument skills and ability to refute questions. Furthermore, you asked the learner "do you want to practice asking a question?". This is a great way to mock a debate. Keep up the great work :)

You do an excellent job building a comfortable and supportive environment. Your tone is friendly, encouraging, and low-pressure, which makes it easy for learners to feel confident asking questions or admitting confusion. You also validate the learner’s thoughts and show genuine interest in their progress. This is one of your biggest strengths. To continue building on this, you can keep offering positive reinforcement like “that’s a good question” or “you’re on the right track,” which you already do naturally. Your ability to help learners feel comfortable is one of the strongest parts of your tutoring style.

Throughout the session, you engaged the learner by stating phrases such as "do you remember reading about those?". This is a good way to ensure the learner is paying attention. The learner was comfortable sharing their input and stated phrases such as "the Government enforced like taxes, right?". You stated words of encouragement such as "That's a good response. And I think on top of that you can say that . . .". This statement is a good way to have constructive criticism. You encourage the learner's phrase while also adding more to their answer.

Yes! Angel S demonstrates progress through her active engagement in the session, asking thoughtful questions about upward mobility and the relevance of art in AP exam questions. Her ability to connect new information to prior knowledge, such as linking the Black Death to social mobility concepts she learned previously, shows she's developing a deeper understanding of historical contexts. By the end of the session, Angel's recognition that the first unit's material is foundational for later units indicates she's grasping the broader historical narrative, reflecting meaningful progress in her comprehension of European history.
