Yes, I think that the learners made great progress during this session. The learners asked on-topic questions and were engaged throughout the session: they volunteered and explained their thought processes in solving questions.

You warmly welcomed the learners to turn on their cameras, which made everyone feel closer. I think that when people start with this request early in the session, it would be easier for them to continue doing this for the rest of the sessions. I noticed great early engagement—keeping this up throughout the session will make it even better! One suggestion would be to speak up a little. I saw in the chat messages that the learners were having trouble hearing you at times, but I think that most of the time, I could hear you so it was not too big of a problem.

I really like that even though no one volunteered to solve a question initially, you flawlessly called on someone randomly which I think saves time and engages the learners. This can also ensure that the rest of the learners are on their toes and not spacing out. For example, you asked Jane to use desmos to solve the problem in a alternative way. I really like how you called your learners by names. I think that this way saves a lot of time and makes sure that everyone gets to participate. One thing that I say is to get the learners to also read the questions so you are not the only one doing so. I see that you are following the “i do” strategy by making sure that learners are following along while you go over content by asking follow-up questions that encourage discussion(ex. open-ended questions.)

You had great explanations without giving away the answer directly. I think that you are doing great and can see you getting more and more confident in using the annotations and visuals in problems. I feel that this helps learners who study with visuals greatly. This was helpful because it provided a clear visual representation of the problem/how someone would use annotations on the actual test. After you had the learners explain their thought process in solving a question, you followed up with your own more in-depth explanation so the other learners could fill in any gaps that the initial learner could have missed.
