Probability

We'll cover the entire probability part of the Statistics course on Khan Academy. If we have time, we can go over some other problems that I will attach to this session. Make sure to bring a pencil and paper (calculators are also highly recommended, but you can leave your answer as an expression if you have to).

Probability

We will cover the basics of calculating probability (conditional probability, the general multiplication rule, and some complementary probability). Make sure to bring scratch paper and a writing utensil (calculators are NOT needed). This session would be most beneficial if you have some understanding of counting (remember, probability is success/total outcomes, so counting is very important to it).

Probability

Do you ever watch a game like Poker and think “Wow! What are the odds?” Probability is how you can find out those odds! In this session, we’ll be doing a crash course the very basics behind algebraic probability, what it actually means, and how we can find it in basic situations. More specifically, we’ll be defining probability in depth, learning about exclusive and disjoint probabilities are, how to find probabilities of multiple events, and learning very simple Bayesian probability. Hope to see you there!

Hi! My name is Lynn. This lesson will cover basic probability, the addition rule, the multiplication rule, and dependent events. The main focus of this lesson will be on how to use the addition rule and the multiplication rule. There will be many practice problems, so be prepared to answer questions in the chat! Can't wait to see you there!
