About

Have you ever wanted to write a novel but didn’t quite know how to do it? This series might help! We’ll brainstorm ideas, learn about story structure, practice writing good dialogue and prose, and learn how to think about stories critically.

Tutor Qualifications

I’ve been writing for 5+ years, and have written three drafts of novels. I’ve also read several books on story structure and writing, and taken several creative writing classes.

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

Please try not to miss any sessions, since they all build on one another. If you do have to miss a session, let me know so I can tell you how to get caught up.

We’ll get to know each other and get an overview of what makes a good story. We’ll also do a fun writing exercise!

We’ll talk about how you can use theme to ensure your story has a strong conflict and engaging characters. We’ll also do a writing exercise with points of view.
