About

Hi everyone! My name is Ilinca, and I’m excited to be your tutor for this SAT bootcamp. I’ve spent time helping students tackle challenging material and build confidence in their learning, which has given me a lot of insight into how to make studying more effective and less stressful. My goal is to help you break down tricky questions, practice smart strategies, and feel fully prepared for the SAT. I can’t wait to get started with all of you!☺️

This four-week tutoring series will help you prepare for your upcoming SAT in Reading & Writing. By the end of the series, you will have completed multiple practice tests and worked through a number of problems from previous SATs, helping you build confidence for your upcoming exam. You’ll spend each session with me and a small group of other learners who are also working towards taking the SAT. Since it’s a small group, you can expect sessions to be very interactive as you work together towards improving your SAT skills as much as you can!

Hello everyone! I'm currently a senior at a public high school with a deep passion for learning, connecting with others, and giving back to my community. I absolutely love traveling and exploring new cultures, and I’m an avid reader who enjoys getting lost in a good book. As a huge animal lover, I find joy in caring for and advocating for animals whenever I can. I'm especially passionate about community service and actively seek out diverse volunteering opportunities that allow me to make a meaningful impact. Last but certainly not least, I have a strong interest in politics and civic engagement, and I’m always eager to learn more about how social and political systems shape the world around us.

To get the most out of this series and respect other learners, follow these attendance rules:

You can only miss one unexcused session over the four weeks. Missing more can impact your learning and may take a spot from another learner who wants to join.

Need to miss a session? Let your tutor know by using the "Submit excused absence" button on the series page. Then, catch up by using the Session Makeup Guide or attending a live make-up session.

Multiple unexcused absences? If you reach two unexcused absences, you may be removed from the series and your Schoolhouse account may be suspended.

We will go over some testing strategies for taking the digital SAT and you will have the opportunity to take a full practice test on the Bluebook platform.

You’ll have some time to review and reflect on your results from the Bluebook practice exam. Then, we will wrap up with a Post-Test to help you see your progress from the first session.

We’ll spend time reviewing the post-test and all of the previous Focus Skills we covered together. To end the session (and the bootcamp!), we’ll wrap up everything and provide some final words of advice!
