About

This College Admissions Workshop on The Essay is a virtual 4-week workshop designed to provide you with structure and support to write your college essays this coming fall.

In this workshop, you will:
  • Learn the purpose and the must-dos of the personal statement or UC PIQ
  • Learn and practice strategies for picking a prompt, brainstorming, drafting, and revising your writing
  • Understand the role of supplemental questions and strategies for organizing your questions and responses
  • Work alongside other students who are also preparing to apply to college.
Note: This session will discuss how personal statements work while also discussing strategies on how to answer the personal statements for the UC System from an actual UC Student.
