This session will cover the history and political issues in the US Virgin Islands. Specifically, we will cover: Colonization, the insular cases, the strategic role of the USVI in WW1 and WW2, Government corruption, over-tourism, and government representation.
The goal of these sessions is to educate students in the 50 US States about our islands, through networking, collaboration, and first-hand perspectives.

Hello, I am a junior from the USVI who is passionate about government, MUN and my school newspaper! I lead sessions on Caribbean History to promote ethical tourism, involvement in government and inspire greater repercussions for the irresponsible spending and corruption that plagues our island governments.
