I'll be covering Spanish content from A1 to A2, covering present, past, future tenses, vocabulary, sentence structures. Worksheets and extra practice work will be provided and 10 minutes of the class will be speaking practice.

Hi! I'm a current sophomore in the IB MYP curriculum. I tutor in Spanish, A2 level German, MYP Integrated Humanities, Lang & Lit, Music and Integrated Science. I'm also an avid singer (certification till Grade 7), ukulele player (certification to Grade 3) and hand embroidery enthusiast. Currently getting certified and Algebra and Biology so I can begin my journey!

Learners are introduced to Spanish sounds, greetings, introductions, numbers, colors, days of the week, and basic objects. They’ll learn the alphabet, noun gender and articles (el, la, los, las), and singular/plural forms. Students will form basic sentences using ser and tener, express simple likes/dislikes, and practice daily vocabulary through short dialogues. Reflexive verbs like llamarse will be introduced in simple present contexts to describe personal details and routines.

Students will extend vocabulary to food, daily activities, and family. They’ll use regular present tense verbs, common irregulars like hacer and ir, and practice reflexive verbs in full (e.g., me despierto, te duchas). Students will build affirmative/negative sentences, ask questions, and express preferences using gustar and encantar. Direct object pronouns (me, te, lo, la) will be introduced, and students will hold conversations about their routines, meals, and favorite activities.

Students will learn preterite tense of regular and common irregular verbs (e.g., fui, hice, comí) to narrate past events. They’ll discuss travel, hobbies, and holidays using time markers. Indirect object pronouns (me, te, le, nos) will be used with verbs like dar, gustar, and decir. Students will also expand character and emotion vocabulary, describe people physically and emotionally, and use relative clauses with que to connect ideas smoothly.

Students will link ideas with conjunctions, compare preferences, and confidently hold conversations expressing wishes, intentions, and emotional evaluations.
