Each week we'll cover all topics art, from basic light-shadow work, anatomy, color theory and color relationship to the beautiful complexity of printmaking ! During each session we will do a practice exercise relevant to that weeks topic. Hope to see you unleash your creativity 🎨🖌️

This session will consist of the art basic fundamentals: Light and Shadow!

Do you notice the shadows of objects around you? How they change with directions? This session will be all about it! We'll cover the relationships of light and shadow and how we can interpret them

Session activity: Draw an apple with it's corresponding shadow, shadowing by drawing circles in different light sources (highly recommended to have paper, pencil, eraser, and colored pencils)✏️

This session will be all things Color Theory !

We'll cover topics like: how to read a color wheel, different color relationship, saturation and brightness, and the different interpretations of color theory 🎨

Session activity: Drawing or painting with complementary colors! (recommended to have paper and any drawing tool with color (colored pencils, crayons, paint, whatever your heart desires!)

This session will be all about Design and Composition!

Ever wonder how close or far you can see things based on the skyline? How can I make my art cohesive with good composition? This is the session for you!

We'll cover topics of one-point and two-point perspective, how to plan the composition of a drawing or painting, and basic design fundamentals!

Session activity: Drawing a house in one-point perspective🏡 (recommended to have paper, pencil, ruler, eraser, and optionally any coloring tool)

This session will be a basic overview of Art history and Art appreciation! See how thousands of year ago in ancient civilizations created art, how artists like Van Gogh, Dalí, and Frida Kahlo revolutionized modern and post-modern art, the most important art movements and how architects designed structures that changed the art and design world!

Session activity: Create a collage of your favorite art movement (digital or physical) and share within the session or on Schoolhouse!

Learn about the Greek canon, Da Vinci's canon, and basic anatomy rules of different body parts!

Session activity: 2 anatomic drawings of hands, feet, and ears (recommended to have paper, pencil, and eraser)

This session will be about the art of Printmaking!

Learn about this century-old art form, the different forms of printmaking, and its use in modern day!

Session activity: Relief printing with Styrofoam! Further instructions will be given during the session (recommended to have a styrofoam plate, papers, pencil, paint of any color, and paintbrushes)
