About

Don’t know how to craft an attention-grabbing hook? Confused by complicated essay structures? Unsure what words to choose?

This course is taught honors rising senior who is Co-Editor-in-Chief and Opinions Editor of the school newspaper and scored an 800 on SAT Reading & Writing and a 5 in AP Lang. In my lessons, each student will be individually coached as I proofread writing and identify areas in need of improvement.

Whether it be essays, articles, stories, or speeches, this course is designed to help you improve your writing through constructive feedback and thorough editing. Come to each session with a piece of writing—finished or unfinished—and we will review it together. I will offer constructive criticism on how to improve the piece and your writing as a whole, then edit it to your liking.

Hello! I'm Annelie, a rising senior from Southern California who loves reading, writing, and listening to Hozier. I achieved an 800 on the Reading & Writing section of the SAT (don't ask me about my math score...). I'm also the Editor-in-Chief of my school newspaper, Public Relations Chairman of my local volunteer organization, and a member of my city's Youth Council. I've previously tutored ESL and essay writing skills, and I'm excited to continue tutoring through Schoolhouse!
