About

Hi, my name is Kate, and I’m really excited to help you prepare for the SAT Reading & Writing section! As a future teacher and someone who loves helping others grow in their confidence with reading, grammar, and writing, I’m here to support you every step of the way. Whether you’re aiming for a specific score or just trying to feel less overwhelmed by the test, this series is designed to meet you where you are and push you forward.

This four-week tutoring series will help you prepare for your upcoming SAT in Reading & Writing. By the end of the series, you will have completed multiple practice tests and worked through real problems from past SAT exams, helping you build the skills and confidence you need for test day. You’ll spend each session with me and a small group of learners who are also working toward the SAT, and because it’s a small group, the sessions will be highly interactive—we’ll ask questions, share strategies, and support each other along the way.

Hi! I’m a high school senior who’s passionate about helping students build confidence and reach their goals on the SAT. I focus especially on the Reading and Writing sections and love making test prep clear and approachable. I joined Schoolhouse to support others, share what I’ve learned, and make studying a little more enjoyable.

To get the most out of this series and respect other learners, follow these attendance rules:

You can only miss one unexcused session over the four weeks. Missing more can impact your learning and may take a spot from another learner who wants to join.

Need to miss a session? Let your tutor know by using the "Submit excused absence" button on the series page. Then, catch up by using the Session Makeup Guide or attending a live make-up session.

Multiple unexcused absences? If you reach two unexcused absences, you may be removed from the series and your Schoolhouse account may be suspended.

We will go over some testing strategies for taking the digital SAT and you will have the opportunity to take a full practice test on the Bluebook platform.

You'll have some time to review and reflect on your results from the Bluebook practice exam. Then, we will review questions you'd like to go over and end with group practice of a Focus Skill in the Standard English Conventions Domain.
