About

Hi, my name is Wilson, and I'm really excited to help you prepare for the SAT! At the beginning, I wasn't too sure of myself with the SAT. I got low scores and struggled to study, no matter the techniques I used. However, after I learned the right studying method, my score was boosted to the 98th percentile! I'm here to help you with achieving the same goal I once did.

This four-week tutoring series will help you prepare for your upcoming SAT in Reading & Writing. By the end of the series, you will have completed multiple practice tests and worked through a number of problems from previous SATs, helping you build confidence for your upcoming exam. You’ll spend each session with me and a small group of other learners who are also working towards taking the SAT. Since it’s a small group, you can expect sessions to be very interactive as you work together towards improving your SAT skills as much as you can!

Note: Cameras should be on so we can all get to know each other! If you have a specific reason why you can’t have your camera on, please notify me ahead of time.

Hi, my name is Wilson! I am currently a rising senior, or a soon-to-be 12th grader. I am the secretary of a Key Club division here at my school, so please reach out to me on any questions I can help with, such as college prep, service hours, Key Club, of course, and national/international organizational work. I currently hold a high SAT score and am willing to offer help to any and every person that needs help boosting their score!

To get the most out of this series and respect other learners, follow these attendance rules:

You can only miss one unexcused session over the four weeks. Missing more can impact your learning and may take a spot from another learner who wants to join.

Need to miss a session? Let your tutor know by using the "Submit excused absence" button on the series page. Then, catch up by using the Session Makeup Guide or attending a live make-up session.

Multiple unexcused absences? If you reach two unexcused absences, you may be removed from the series and your Schoolhouse account may be suspended.

We'll begin with group practice of a Focus Skill in the Expression of Ideas Domain. Then, we will work through a shortened practice exam and review questions you'd like to go over.

We will go over some testing strategies for taking the digital SAT and you will have the opportunity to take a full practice test on the Bluebook platform.

You'll have some time to review and reflect on your results from the Bluebook practice exam. Then, we will review questions you'd like to go over and end with group practice of a Focus Skill in the Standard English Conventions Domain.
