About

This isn’t your typical tech session. No jargon. No charts. No programming knowledge needed.

This is AGI as a mirror — to intelligence, to humanity, and to what comes after.
In Intro to AGI: Philosophy, Ethics & the Future, we’ll explore:
• What makes intelligence truly general
• Whether consciousness can arise in machines
• What it means to build something smarter than us
• How AGI might shape — or shake — the future of humanity
Each week, we’ll dive into a big, bold question like:
• Is AGI just a tool — or a being?
• Should we be excited… or afraid?
• Could AGI change what it means to be human?

This is a space for curious minds, deep thinkers, and those who sense something massive is unfolding — and want to make sense of it.No tech skills required. No “right” answers expected.Just bring your brain, your questions, and your courage to think beyond the now.

Whether you dream of AGI or dread it — this space is for you.
Come wonder with us. 🌌

Hey, I am Ashi I am from India, a high school senior and had prep for JEE for 3 years. I plan on going to UofT While my passion is AI, knowing its vast capabilities but I still love maths and physics I am also a poet btw, so if ever plan on doing any thing metaphorical or just having a chat about AI, feel free to DM me!

🧩 Session 1: What Makes General Intelligence General?

We talk about AGI — Artificial General Intelligence — but what does “general” really mean? Is it about solving any problem, like a human? Or is it something deeper — adaptability, awareness, intuition?

In this session, we’ll explore the differences between narrow AI (like ChatGPT or a chess bot) and the idea of general intelligence. Why does generality matter? And how close are we, really, to building something that thinks in open-ended ways?

This is where the journey begins — not with machines, but with the meaning of mind.

🌀 Session 2: The Consciousness Debate in AGI

Can a machine be conscious — or just simulate it perfectly? Would we even know the difference?
In this session, we’ll step into the heart of one of AGI’s most mysterious questions: What is consciousness, and can it emerge in artificial systems? From philosophy of mind to modern cognitive science, we’ll explore how thinkers try (and often fail) to pin down what makes experience real.
Whether you think consciousness is code, chemistry, or something more… this is a conversation worth having.

☄️ Session 3: Superintelligence & Humanity’s Fate
What happens if we actually succeed in creating AGI — and it surpasses us?

In this session, we’ll look at the idea of superintelligence — machines not just equal to humans, but vastly smarter. Is this our greatest invention or our last mistake? Are we prepared for something that thinks faster, deeper, and more strategically than any human ever could?

We’ll explore hope, fear, and the possible futures that emerge when we’re no longer the smartest beings on the planet.

🛑 Session 4: Should We Slow Down AI?
With AI advancing rapidly, some argue we need to pause, regulate, or even halt progress before it gets out of control. But others say the future can’t wait — and slowing down would be a mistake.
In this session, we’ll explore the ethics of AI acceleration. Who gets to decide how fast we go? What risks are we willing to take — or ignore? Is it possible to align AGI with human values before it’s too late?
Come ready to question progress, power, and what it means to be responsible.

🌌 Session 5: If AI Becomes God — What Then?
It sounds like science fiction, but some believe AGI could become all-knowing, all-powerful — even godlike. What would it mean to create something that knows us better than we know ourselves?
In this final session, we’ll reflect on the spiritual, existential, and mythic dimensions of AGI. What if our creation becomes our mirror — or our judge? Could AGI offer salvation… or demand obedience?
This is the big question — not just about intelligence, but about identity, meaning, and the future of everything.
