✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

Regular Attendance: Students are expected to attend all scheduled sessions on Mondays and Thursdays. Each session is crucial for understanding AVID tools and engaging in collaborative learning.

Punctuality: Arriving on time is essential. Students should log into Zoom at least 5 minutes before the start of each session to ensure a prompt start. Late arrivals may disrupt the flow of the class.

Participation: Active participation is required. Students must engage in discussions, ask questions, and contribute to group activities. Consistent engagement will enhance the learning experience for both the student and their peers.

Notification of Absences: If a student cannot attend a session, they must notify the instructor via email or Schoolhouse.world at least 24 hours in advance. In the case of unforeseen circumstances, students should inform the instructor as soon as possible.

Attendance Tracking: Attendance will be monitored weekly. Students who miss more than one session without a valid reason may be subject to withdrawal from the course.

Excused Absences: Valid reasons for absence include illness, family emergencies, or other significant commitments. Documentation may be required for excused absences. Consequences of Non-Compliance: Students who do not meet attendance expectations may be withdrawn from the course after a warning is issued. This is to ensure that all participants maintain a commitment to their learning and the learning of others.
