About

Are you an international student aspiring to pursue higher education in the United States? The TOEFL exam is your opportunity to demonstrate your English proficiency, but it can sometimes be challenging. While there are many SAT prep resources on schoolhouse.world, TOEFL support is rare. That's why I decided to host this series.

What You'll Learn
This series will primarily focus on the reading and writing sections of the TOEFL exam, aligning with the R&W subworld. However, rest assured that we will also cover listening and speaking skills. In short, we'll discuss whatever's on the exam (and maybe things not on the exam as well).

Interactive and Personalized
The exact content will be tailored to your current level of English proficiency, ensuring a personalized learning experience. We'll work through reading passages together and revise your writing samples to help you improve and grow. During speaking sessions, you may be invited to come off mute and answer speaking questions on Zoom, but participation is voluntary.

Join Us
Let's learn TOEFL together and seize better opportunities for higher education!
(If you want to join as a cohost, please message me.)

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

We encourage you to attend all sessions to get the most out of the course. However, you are welcome to join or leave as needed.

If you feel the sessions are not meeting your specific needs and are considering not attending, please send me a direct message in the chat. We are flexible and may be able to arrange one-on-one sessions tailored to your requirements.

Ultimately, I care most about your learning experience and growth, not the series itself.

About the Tutors

I'm a high school senior with a passion for math and science, seeing learning as an exploration filled with curiosity and discovery. I believe in active learning, akin to a wanderlust journey. Although I've never taken AP courses, by self-studying, I've got 5s in AP Calc BC, Stat, Physics C, Chem, Biology, and CS using online resources. Now, I'm eager to help others embark on this self-guided learning adventure.

Hi! My name is Ananya, and I'm a sophomore in high school in the 24-25 school year. I have a lot of hobbies including track and field, reading, environmental activism, debate, coding, STEM competitions, and my mysterious favorite (robotics). I love classic books (they're practically all I read). My favorite is An Old Fashioned Girl. I'm involved in a lot of organizations. One of the ones I'm most active in is a leadership 4-h program for teens. We work on a lot of capstone projects to help our community. I've gotten a world record related to them. We partnered with one of our sponsor companies to have the world's longest envirothon. That leads us into my next hobby, debate. I've been debating for 2 years as of 2024 summer, and I love it. And then there's robotics. I spend a lot of time on that. I'm very involved in my team. I love volunteering.
