About

Are you taking Geometry in the fall and looking for a head start? This could be the course for you! We will be following Khan Academy's Geometry course and going through the problems together. A new unit will be covered each week starting with Unit 1.

I would like for this series to be very learner-driven, so additional office hours will be scheduled based on availability.
﻿
How each session will be run:
1. Recap of previous unit/topic
2. Intro to new unit + assessment of prior knowledge
﻿
The units and topics that will be covered are listed as the session descriptions. This series will not focus very heavily on proofs and construction, but it will give you a solid base for understanding and creating them.
﻿
Based on how much you already know about this topic, we will head into some practice problems.
﻿
Assessments will also be assigned at the end of each session so that you can accurately reflect on what you're doing well at and what might need more work Extra office hours can absolutely be scheduled if more help is needed!

NOTE: Though this series is already underway, you're still welcome to join! I will send you the slides from the weeks you've missed so that you can review the topics on your own. If multiple people join in the middle of a certain week, I will add a review session. Please make sure you do the necessary review!

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

You are free to attend/skip whichever sessions you want as long as you let me know! If there is a session where the topic is something you're already totally familiar with, and you don't think extra practice would be helpful, that's completely fine. If you skip two non-optional CONSECUTIVE sessions without notice, you'll be removed.

Hello! I'm Claire, a rising high school freshman from Connecticut. My hobbies include playing piano, singing, ballet, reading, and more! I also enjoy baking and going to the beach! I recently discovered SHW, and I hope it will help me to teach others and learn many new things!
