About

In this series we will be going over topics related to the IB Chemistry curriculum. This is mainly aimed at students who are about to start the IB diploma program and are taking chemistry next year. However, anyone interested can join! We will be doing an introduction into each of the major topics on the SL curriculum (Topics 1-11). Each week we will cover 1 topic with review session dispersed along the way.

Stoichiometric relationships
Atomic theory
Periodicity
Chemical bonding and structure
Energetics/ Thermodynamics
Chemical kinetics
Equilibrium
Acids and bases
Redox processes
Organic chemistry
Measurement and data processing

A background in basic Algebra and Chemistry Honors will be helpful in this series.

Required Materials: Calculator, Pencil, and Paper

Tutor Qualifications

I am currently enrolled in the IB Program at my high school and have gotten straight-A's learning the HL curriculum. I was also awarded the Chemistry Achievement award at my school and have helped fellow students gain a better understanding of the material.

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

As this is simply an introduction into the course, regular attendance is not required but highly encouraged. If your interested in a particular topic on a certain day, feel free to join!

I'm a high school senior currently in the IB Program. I'm taking Math HL, Physics HL and Chem HL. I'm here to tutor just about anything from Pre-Algebra to Calculus. I love math, science, and history and am super excited to be tutoring here on schoolhouse.world.
