About

Hey everyone! I wanted to create this series in order to help students who need a little more assistance with Algebra 1. This can be students who are currently in the class but feel like they need help with lessons they previously covered, or even students who are planning to take Algebra 1 in the future and want a head start. This will be a very interactive series, with lots of discussions and days where we will just relax and celebrate how far we have come. :)
I plan to go through the Algebra 1 course in Khan Academy together, but I am also open to homework help, or anything else you guys want to do.
These are the units I plan to cover:

1. Foundations of Algebra 🧱
2. Equations ➗
3. Simple Inequalities ≤
4. Multi-Step and Compound Inequalities
5. Function Concepts 🔄
6. Applying Functions 📊
7. Characteristics of Linear Functions 📈
8. Using Linear Functions 📉
9. System of Linear Equations ⚖️
10. Linear Inequalities ➡️⬅️
11. Exponents ⬆️
12. Polynomials ➕✖️
13. Factoring Methods 🧩
14. Applying Factoring Methods 🔍

These units aren't set in stone. Based on how everyone feels about each one, we can move faster or slower.
I'm super excited about this series, and I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you! :)

Hi everyone! I'm a high school student based in the US, and I'm looking to pursue a career in business/economics. A little about me - I am on my school's varsity soccer team, FBLA chapter, DECA chapter, as well as marching band! In my free time, you can catch me reading a book, watching Netflix, or practicing my flute. I can help anyone in Pre-algebra, Algebra 1, and Algebra 2, as well as reading for the SAT.

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

I understand that life happens: however, this course is built upon each lesson, which makes it difficult to catch up. I would recommend to join as many sessions as possible, and message me asap if you find that you cannot make one. However, if this happens consistently, I will have a chat with you and you might end up being removed from the group.
