About

NOTE: this series is NOT made for those who want to learn the calculus content but rather for those who aim to practice the calculus content covered and based on the Khan Academy AP Calculus BC Unit Tests. Throughout each session, we will go over the questions given the Khan Academy Unit Tests and provide explanations and sample question problems and examples when necessary. Please be prepared with a pen and paper and avoid using calculators unless specified.

About the Tutor

Hey y'all! I'm Hind, a college freshman residing in KSA! I've been here on Schoolhouse as a tutor for over a year, and my goal is to share what I already know; I've also been a learner here for over two years to learn what I don't know! My strong suit is anything mathematics related, particularly calculus and advanced algebra; I've also scored a 700+ on the SAT math section and have a lot of science and English knowledge that I'd be more than happy to share! Furthermore, I'm a Schoolhouse moderator in the calculus subworld, so if any of you there are ever in need of any additional support or guidance, feel more than welcome to reach out! Outside of the Schoolhouse platform, I enjoy writing in English calligraphy, watching competitive cooking shows, and learning new languages, especially French and Arabic! I'm beyond grateful to be a part of this wonderful community, and it's a huge pleasure to meet all of you!

Session 1

Orientation

Today, we’ll be briefly explaining how the series will be paced and structured throughout. Be prepared with any questions regarding how the series will take place and any suggestions you would like me to incorporate throughout! If time allows, we may even take a Pre-Calculus Quiz or Kahoot to test our knowledge prior to calculus and to provide us with an idea of how the upcoming sessions will occur! Kahoots will also help us better pace our time management and ability to think outside the box and apply problem solving methods!

Session 2

Limits and continuity

Unit 1 Unit Test: Limits & Continuity! Be prepared with your questions and problem solving abilities, as we begin practicing the unit 1 content of AP Calculus BC! To recall, this is NOT a session to explain the material and content from scratch but rather to practice it and excel in it; a couple of practice problems and examples as well as explanations may be provided if necessary. As always, be prepared with a pen and paper and avoid using calculators- unless specified to use them for any reason.
