About
Hi everyone!
In this series, we will be learning about five of the major human body systems (nervous, endocrine, cardiovascular, immune, and sensory systems). For each system, we will learn about the organs involved, how the system works, pathologies, and other important information.
Sessions will mostly take place once a week on Saturdays at 1:00 PM EST, and two sessions are needed to cover all the information for one system (two weeks per system). There will be an office hour session each week, where learners can catch up on the information that they missed, ask questions, or just come to study.
Some additional resources:
Crash Course for Anatomy & Physiology: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL8dPuuaLjXtOAKed_MxxWBNaPno5h3Zs8. I highly recommend watching these videos in addition to my sessions. The animations are really helpful in understanding the body system and these videos are also really fun to watch.
OpenStax Online Anatomy & Physiology Textbook: https://openstax.org/details/books/anatomy-and-physiology-2e. This is a free online textbook with in-depth descriptions of the body systems.
Video Lectures: https://pulmonary.ucsd.edu/research/labs-centers/west/video-lectures.html. These videos were made for medical school students but are a great resource to learn about the body systems.
Thank you for your interest in my series, and I look forward to teaching you!:)

We will be learning about the nervous system!
Here's an interactive of the nervous system: https://www.innerbody.com/image/nervov.html. The interactive shows you the organs and parts of the body involved in the system as well as a detailed description of each. I would recommend checking this out before the session so you have a general idea on what we are going to be talking about:)
