Welcome to this course on the introduction of Mandarin Chinese! :) In this 15+ session course, we will be going forward with learning all the fundamentals of reading, writing, and communicating in Mandarin Chinese. The goal by the end of this series is that you will be able to start a simple conversation using Chinese with one another and read some easy Chinese picture books. Mandarin Chinese is a language that is getting more trendier to learn day by day, so it's definitely an important language to learn. Besides learning, we will also be having themed fun nights and Q&A sessions. Themed fun nights is where the session is based on a traditional Chinese holiday and we have fun related to the holiday. Q&A sessions are where burning questions related to Mandarin Chinese can be answered. The 15 sessions do not include orientation, final closing session, themed fun nights, and Q&A sessions. Please note that by signing up for this series, you will try your best to complete each assignment assigned at the end of each session, as that is the best way to practice learning a new language. The IBDP program is a tough two-year rigorous academic program for 11th and 12th graders. The program is starting to become more popular and well-known in more schools around the world. Almost all the time, students do IBDP year 1 in grade 11 and IBDP year 2 in grade 12. All participants will do six courses of their choice along with three extra required courses, the program will result in final assignments submitted to the IB and exams taken in all six chosen courses. If the student is successful in the program, then he/she will receive the IB Diploma upon high school graduation. However, if I cumulate together all my experiences in this first year of IB, there have been a lot of ups and downs. This is why in this series, I want to talk to you guys all about my experiences and advice to you guys on the first year of IB. If you are going into the IB program a few years later or have already done the IB, you are still welcome to join, however, this series is specifically targeting towards those that are going into 11th grade and starting their IB Diploma program year 1. I will not be able to answer all your questions or give the full experience of IB, because I simply have not completed all two years, only one year. History is the study of past events. A timeline is a graphic representation of what happened over a period of time through a line. As a history nerd myself, I had an idea for a Schoolhouse 2022 summer camp where as a team, we work together and create a timeline of everything that happened in history since he beginning of time recorded. If you love history or you are a creative person, you are welcome to join. Other than that anyone that wants to is welcome to join and help out making this timeline, but please do take note that by joining, you are agreeing that you will somewhat help with creating the timeline. This camp will be based on discussion and teamwork, as a team we will create this timeline, therefore I will provide minimal instruction as possible. We will discuss all the logistical information including the software we will use to create the timeline in our first session. This project will aim to finish on July 23rd, Saturday. We will be aiming to meet at least three times during the process of this project.
