I really liked this session because we got to do a lot of practice problems on the concepts, so instead of just knowing the concept, we got to learn how to solve problems using it. Additionally, Joy was patient and kind in clarifying my doubts! Overall, this session was super helpful for me.

You are the first person I have seen to use a wheel to get tutors to volunteer for the microtutoring example. It is a cool way of providing tutors with an alternative option to cold calling, and I appreciate how you double-checked whether tutors were comfortable with participating. Also, you broke down the microtutoring examples and even gave mini-scenarios of what to do when tutoring learners of different skill sets and learning styles! I would say that you prepared tutors well. It was interesting how you provided alternative resources, like the list of transition words, and more specific advice on preparing lesson plans. Yes Joy was well prepared to teach the material! She had very detailed slides and clear, comprehensible explanations for each practice problem. I specifically liked how she had a simple but understandable definitions for each answer in the words in context questions, I'm sure your learners found that very helpful and really appreciated that.

We see how towards the beginning of the session, the learners were not grasping the information as well. However, with the good teachings of the teacher we see how they were able to learn on how to tackle word problems.
