Jessica, you checked your learners' prior knowledge by asking them if they know anything about SAT Math, which was a great way to both engage them and get an understanding of their levels for yourself as well. Moreover, throughout your lesson, you made sure to ask your learners if they had questions about what was going on, which was very considerate and helped make sure that everyone was on the same track. Great job!

Jessica, you seemed to be able to explain SAT Math to your learners thoroughly and clearly, with a well-put and organized slideshow. You even showed great understanding of the specific topics of math being covered in SAT Math, as can be seen when you elaborate on them when explaining them to your learners. Overall, you showed great knowledge and understanding of SAT Math and were able to convey that information to your learners clearly and appropriately. After your learners solved some problems, you went over them in depth as well, thoroughly covering the important math concepts needed for each problem and aptly engaging your learners. Great work!

Thank you for this session! I liked how it was interactive.

Great explanations! I like that you clarified the fastest way to solve the problems and explained the logic behind the solving process. For example, after Brianna and Alicia found the slope of a translated line, you pointed out that Alicia's approach was faster because translating a line does not change the slope. You gave many good tips for approaching math problems on the SAT.

There was evidence that your learners made progress, as seen after you explained to them the problems they solved.

Jessica, I liked how you started your orientation session off with a quick and simple icebreaker, asking your learners what their favorite snacks are. This was a great way to engage your learners and provide a more comfortable and enjoyable learning environment for them. The positive comments you gave them were complementary as well. Nice work.

Thank you for this session! It really helped show me where my weaknesses lie on the calc section.

You checked your learners' familiarity with the SAT before explaining more about it. Seeing how much prior knowledge your learners have is always a good idea. You kept everyone engaged throughout the session as well. You had an interesting approach that worked very well: getting everyone to take turns sharing their ideas about how to solve a problem. You confirmed your learners progress by reviewing questions from the pre-test. Good job!

You created a very friendly, comfortable environment. You opened the session with an introduction and fun icebreaker, were careful to pronounce your learners' names correctly and encouraged everyone to ask questions and feel free to share their ideas.
