Trig Identities and Review for Precalculus and Beyond!

We will not only review basic information regarding the 6 basic trig functions (sine, cosine, tangent, secant, cosecant, and cotangent), but also build upon our knowledge of trig identities found in a typical precalculus course. By getting exposure to these identities ahead of time, an otherwise difficult part of the curriculum turns from needing cramming to some light review of the concepts discussed in this session. As this is a preview, please make sure to ask any questions you have during the trig review section, either through the chat or through a mic if you are comfortable!

Trigonometric equations and identities

We will be going over trigonometric identities and how to solve problems using them. We will also look at other practical uses for these identities. This topic will be split up into 2 sessions. Make sure to have your calculator as you will be expected to answer practice questions. Any time left over at the end will be spent on more practice problems from Kahn Academy. Hope to see you all there.

Trigonometric equations and identities

Hey guys, today we're going to take a look at the features of sinusoidal (sine and cosine) functions today: amplitude, period, midline, and phase shift, and how each of these features corresponds to a different part of the sinusoidal equation af(b(x+c))+d, where f is either sin or cosine. As always, catch-up sessions are available.
