Series Details

About

This class will go through some of the first few topics in an introductory course in mechanics, notably: Kinematics Laws of Motion and F=ma Center of Mass, Momentum, and Impulse Work and Energy Oscillations in Springs This course will be more in depth and more math heavy compared to a normal mechanics course. There will be homework problems sourced from MIT OCW 8.01x and K&K. Basic Calculus (differentiating and integrating) is essential for this course.

Tutor Qualifications

I have read through and done the exercises in "An Introduction to Mechanics" by Daniel Kleppner and Robert J. Kolenkow, the physics book used by the honors mechanics class at MIT.
