About

Whether your heart pumps red, blue, or purple blood, this series is for you! We’ll be covering basic heart anatomy/physiology but mostly focusing on the most common complex congenital heart defect, Tetralogy of Fallot: what it is and how it is repaired. So, I suggest you have either taken Biology or Anatomy & Physiology or have some kind of background so you can jump right in with us. If you don’t have previous knowledge in the topic, that’s ok, I will try and make it easy enough for everyone. See you in class! *This series was misplaced in Enrichment, but now it’s in Biology! 😅

Tutor Qualifications

I took Biology and also attended a Pre Med Summer Camp at an in-state private university. I was also a blue baby myself, so I know a bit about Tetralogy of Fallot. 🙃

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

The first session is the lesson and the second session is entirely review, so I strongly recommend not missing any sessions. However, attendance is not mandatory, but you are doing yourself a favor by attending both. 😉

About the Tutor

Hi there! I’m Evie and I’m a senior in high school this year! I’m totally into anything related to the medical field, doodling, and just making kids laugh. I am also an advocate for the fight against all kinds of cancers. I believe in Faith, Hope, Cure! I am passionate about showing kids how amazing they truly are and that if you work hard enough, you can do anything! I took my SAT and got 1480 (760 in Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and 720 in Math) I have a 4.0 GPA so far. I am hoping to study psychology and art next summer and become a child life specialist one day! Peace ✌🏼
