About

*CLASS FORMATTED FOR BEGINNERS!* Prerequisite: Some geometry knowledge, and it is preferred that one has a strong background in Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 concepts. Trigonometry covers a major portion of Pre-calculus and above :). Trigonometry may be a very complex, confusing, and at times agitating subject for high school and college students. Coming from a former Trigonometry-hater, I have fallen in love with learning and teaching trigonometric identities, formula, rules, and problem sets! During our sessions, we will tackle the fundamentals of trigonometry through multiple powerpoint presentations, Kahoots, relaxed problem sets (collaboratively and individually), khan academy questions with full explanations, and several other math enrichment prep websites + math games! About my teaching style: I tend to lecture in short intervals to make sure each student has a grasp on the concept, but I hope to create friendly meetings with each of you all. It is the goal of a tutor to keep their students at ease; questions are always welcome, and do not be afraid to answer something wrong! I encourage each of my students to make several mistakes and learn from them TOGETHER. No cameras required if one feels uncomfortable, but I do ask for mics on (If you cannot turn on your mic, that is fine too :). Topics Covered: *Unit Circle *Inverse Trigonometric Functions *SAT Prep Trigonometry Questions *Standard Angles * Trigonometric Functions of Any Angle *Pythagorean Identities *Basic Right Triangle Trigonometry *Graphing Trigonometric Functions * Product-Sum Identities *Sum-Product Identities *Half-Angle Identities *Sum Identities *Difference Identities *Cofunction Identities *Double-Angle Identities *Sine Law and Cosine Law *Complex Numbers: Rectangular Form & Polar Form *Cartesian System of Coordinates and Polar System of Coordinates (Converting between the two) *Final Exam (In-Class and we will answer together!)

Hello! An Iced Caramel Latte and pretty scenery fuels my weekend mornings. I have a pet cat named Luna (I'm a huge cat person.). In my free time, I like to engage in community service; it makes my soul very happy :). I love to listen to alternative/rock music, especially David Bowie and bands like Nirvana and Foo Fighters. I admire writing very much and I love to help with writing and grammar structure. I can also help out with Algebra essentials. However, the best class I have ever taken was AP Government and Politics (Aced the class Woop Woop) so I can very much help with this class as well!
