About

This course is perfect for beginners!  If you're feeling a bit intimidated about learning Spanish, this is the course for you 🫵. We'll cover some basics, from the alphabet and sentence structure to phonics, pronouns, basic verbs, and nouns, plus a few extras. And don’t worry, I’ll make sure learning is fun and engaging 🕺🕺, so you can expect Kahoot games, memes and tiktoks in this course. Hope to see you here soon 🎉!!

Tutor Qualifications

I'm a native Spanish speaker, born and raised in Costa Rica. I’ve never taken formal Spanish courses, but I have participated in public speaking and Spanish literature classes, allowing me to understand and express myself at a college level. I’ve also helped many friends and family members improve their writing, reading, and speaking skills.

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

If you want to make progress, I recommend attending as many classes as you can. Learning a language should be something you want to do, not a chore, so I don’t want you to feel forced. However, anyone with more than 3 unexcused absences will be withdrawn from the series.

Hi, I'm Evita I am excited to look for communities where I can learn and help others too. I'm here to help with maths, science, and Spanish as I'm a native speaker. I usually spend my free time reading (mostly romance), playing piano and drawing. When I'm not doing these, you'll find me doing all sorts of things, crocheting, making flower arrangements, papercrafting, programming and dancing.

We'll dive right into phonics and the alphabet, focusing on how to blend sounds and syllables to form words. We'll practice pronunciation and reading some words with tricky combinations. This topic is an important step that sets you up for exponential improvement, especially in reading and speaking, so try your best not to miss it.

We'll continue practicing sentence formation, applying everything we have learned so far plus this topic. Also, I'll teach you some tips and phrases that will allow you to create flow and coherence.

For our last session 🥹, we'll cover some reaction and comment phrases, for this we'll also learn adjectives and vocabulary that expresses feelings and attitudes. The goal is to make conversations more lively and expressive, allowing you to share your opinions and reactions in a way natives actually do. I'm excited to help you reach this point, where you can understand and express yourself at a beginner level. 🕺🎉
