About

(MORE SESSIONS TO BE ADDED SOON!)
The SAT may seem hard, but as I have learned there are many different ways to solve problems. In reality, you do not have to memorize every concept, during this course, we will go over important concepts, and tricks to get around certain questions!
I will try to keep this class small so I can spend time addressing the concerns of every student individually!
Every day we will start class with a mini-timed practice quiz that covers the topic of the day. After this quiz, we will go through every question breaking down the incorrect and correct answers.

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

Please try not to miss any classes I will try to catch up with anyone who misses a class whether it be through a mini-lesson or just through text, but this may be hard to manage! If the timing of the class is not suitable for you on a repetitive basis let me know! I will try to adjust the time in a way that it benefits the most students.

Session 7

SAT Reading & Writing

Inferences- Typically we think of inferences as a guess, but on the SAT there is no blind guessing. You will always be able to find direct evidence which links to an answer choice. These questions typically consist of a longer passage and a blank at the end which you have to fill in with an answer choice

Session 9

SAT Reading & Writing

Text Structure & Pupose + Form, Structure, and Sense
Text Structure and purpose usually ask about how the text is structured or provide an underlined sentence and asks about the importance of that underlined portion.
Form structure and sense questions are similar to words in context but instead of testing on vocabulary they test subject-verb agreement, verb forms, plural and possessive nouns, etc. (This session will be longer! Lots to cover if you want to be prepared for the Octomber SAT)
