About

Hello everybody! My name is Michelle and I'll be writing the August SAT along with you guys. This series requires little to no experience with the SAT as a whole.

This four-week tutoring series will help you prepare for your upcoming SAT in Math. By the end of the series, you will have completed multiple practice tests and worked through a number of problems from previous SATs, helping you build confidence for your upcoming exam. You’ll spend each session with me and a small group of other learners who are also working towards taking the SAT. Since it’s a small group, you can expect sessions to be very interactive as you work together towards improving your SAT skills as much as you can! Note: Cameras should be on so we can all get to know each other! If you have a specific reason why you can’t have your camera on, please notify me ahead of time.

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

Please do not miss more than one session over the four weeks, as that will negatively affect your learning and may also take up a spot from another learner who could have attended every session.

If you reach two unexcused absences, your tutor may remove you from this series.

Note from Schoolhouse: This series has sessions with required attendance. If you need to miss a required session, submit an absence using the "Submit Excused Absence" button on the series page. Multiple unexcused absences may lead to a suspension of your Schoolhouse account.

About the Tutor

Hello everybody! My name is Michelle and I'm a year 11 student from Nigeria. I tutor in the sciences, math, and English. Feel free to reach out if you need help with those subjects! Here are some things about me: academic interests: As you'd guess, my favorite subject is biology with chemistry coming in second. I am interested in STEM and I hope to study in biomedical engineering. I've written 3 IGCSE (mathematics(A*), Biology(A*), English(A)) and I'll write 5 more this May. Music: I've played the piano for five years and like performing contemporary pieces. As for my music taste, I love listening to rock and metal bands; my favorites are The Smiths, Queen, David Bowie Megadeth, Metallica, and Iron Maiden. -Art: I like to make art in my free time. My preferred medium is watercolor paint but I also use colored pencils and alcohol markers. I also make stop-motion animations using Lego and homemade puppets. -Sports: I play tennis on my school's team and basketball recreationally. -Books: I love reading the Grisha-verse novels, the Avatar books, and Shounen manga. -TV: I'm a big anime fan, and my favorite is Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood! -Other interests: I'm currently learning coding. I can make arcade-style games in Python and I'm learning web development.
