About

Want to write but don't know what to write and/or keep putting it off until "when there's time"? If so, sign up for some inspiration and accountability 😄

Expect to discuss and analyze pieces of creative writing, learn more about different aspects of creative writing, and (most importantly) get some writing done!

I've participated in some amazing creative writing workshops, and I'm hoping to bring the magic to Schoolhouse! ✨

What to Expect:
~This is for creative writing—think poems, stories, personal narratives, etc. Feel free to work on anything creative during these sessions, but know that this is *not* targeted towards essays/reports/academic writing.
~This is a workshop, which means all participants are expected to actively engage. In other words, participation is expected (ideally at least partially out loud, but participation by chat is fine as well). Unless circumstances prevent it, cameras are also expected to be on. (I've attended a couple of writing workshops, and trust me when I say this makes a big difference!) Note that you can turn your camera off during writing sprints.
~Again, this is a workshop, which means that a significant portion of the time will actually be spent writing (and discussing your writing). If you're looking for less participation/more lecture-type learning, this may not be for you.
~On that note, this is ultimately for *you*, so if you have any suggestions for what you'd like to see discussed/covered, feel free to reach out!

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

There is no strict attendance policy... feel free to come to whatever sessions work for you. (However, note that some sessions may build on previous ones.)

If you're unable to make a meeting, please let me know. If you can't attend multiple sessions in a row, please withdraw to make room for someone else.

About the Tutor

Hi :) I'm a high school student who loves math and poetry. In my downtime, you can find me reading or talking (read: trying to talk) to my cat in Arabic and Spanish. My primary reason for being here is to help you with the Digital SAT. I'm comfortable with both sections of the test (I scored a 1600)—feel free to reach out!
