๐—œ๐—ป๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐—”๐˜‚๐—ฑ๐—ถ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ฒ: Learners who have successfully completed pre-algebra (final grade of B or 85% or higher), learners who are entering Algebra I in the 2021-22 school year, or learners who struggled with Algebra I that are now entering Geometry (or even Algebra II). ๐—ฆ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—ง๐—ถ๐—บ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด: 2 x week for 5 Weeks @ 3pm EDT (Eastern US/Canada) or 12pm PDT (Pacific US/Canada); July Sessions are on Mondays + Thursdays while August Sessions take place on Saturdays + Sundays ๐— ๐—ถ๐˜€๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป: To help learners reason abstractly and quantitatively as it relates to mathematical equations, expressions, inequalities, and statistics. ๐—ข๐—ฏ๐—ท๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐˜๐—ถ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐˜€: be able to (i) interpret & analyze structures in expressions; (ii): (a) perform arithmetic operations on polynomials, (b) identify relationships between zeros and factors of polynomials, (c) utilize polynomial identities to solve problems, (d) rewrite rational expressions; (iii) write equations describing numerical and/or variable relationships; (iv): (a) solve equations and inequalities in one and two variables, (b) represent systems of equations in the form of a graph; (v): (a) utilize function notation to demonstrate understanding of a function, (b) interpret functions, (c) analyze functions via various representations; (vi) write functions that demonstrate a relationship between two quantities; (vii): (a) write and compare linear versus exponential models to solve problems

About the Tutor

I am a dual enrollment high school student in the US who loves to teach and help others build confidence through learning. That is of course when I'm not dancing, figure skating, teaching, or practicing yoga! I have been tutoring K-8 students in all core academic classes for 3 years in both group and 1-on-1 settings. I have also expanded to tutoring high school and AP level courses for about 2 years now. Tutoring allows me to inspire learners to grow in their academic environment, and as a whole person, which is by far, an unmatched feeling. I teach by exploring concepts in an interactive and light atmosphere. I will then work with students to practice in-context and real-world problems both during sessions and asynchronously. From there, I will measure each student's progress individually, using various checkpoints to determine the best route.
