well review prealgebra and practice concepts key to understanding the concept before moving on to Algebra 1, and reinforce concepts using biweekly assessments. Students are free to ask any questions about their homework, and their questions can be asked in front of the entire class and solved, or can be solved in private zoom meeting room , (choice of the student), We will also play educational games like blooket, kahoot and gimkit to reinforce learning and provide a positive and fun learning environment for students who are preparing to take algebra 1.

Students will learn how to solve word problems and real-life situations with previously learned math material (ratios and rates),

Students will learn about variables that are used in expressions and their general purpose

Exponents intro and order of operations
Students will learn more about exponents and an intro into order of operations, which is necessary for higher level mathematics.

Session 13
Equations & inequalities introduction
Students will apply existing math knowledege to learn more about equations and inequalities, primarily using previous knowledge from learning about order of operations , variables and expresssions.
Session 14
One-step and two-step equations & inequalities
Students will apply previously learned concepts to solve one step and two step equations.
Session 15
Multi-step equations
Students will apply concepts learned to solve multi step equations, which is necessary for higher level math concepts.
Session 16
Catchup
General Review day, students can ask questions about covered material or ask general questions about their current coursework.
Session 17
Two-variable equations
Students will learn how to solve two variable equations, and will apply existing math knowledge about multi step equations and inequalities to better understand the concept.
Session 18
Functions and linear models
Students will learn about functions and linear expressions while using concepts from previous topics to Excel, as this might be a little challenging for some, the number of days spent on this topic may be changed,
Session 19
Systems of equations
Students will learn about systems of equations based on the skill level shown in learning and mastering functions and linear equations, note, that the dates for this topic might be tentative.
