ACT Prep Series
Next session on Dec 2, 2023
Elaina C and Vaibhav T
Hi there! In this series, I'll be going through each section of the ACT and covering tips to help you increase your score. When: meetings are on Tuesdays and Fridays with a few exceptions For each section, there will be a basic overview of content and strategies, a practice test, and a help session to discuss missed questions. At the end of the series, we'll wrap up with a full-length practice test so you can see what you've learned! This series is designed both for people who are completely new to the ACT and those who have taken it before. If you haven't taken the ACT recently, I recommend completing a full-length practice test before starting this series. This will allow you to see where you are now and what you might need to focus on improving. Here's the most recent official ACT practice test if you'd like to give it a try: https://www.act.org/content/dam/act/unsecured/documents/Preparing-for-the-ACT.pdf
I've earned a 36 on the ACT and have experience with ACT tutoring through my school. I took the ACT once on paper/pencil and once digitally, so I'm familiar with both formats.
✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY
Each ACT section has its own sessions, so you only need to come for the ones you need help with. Please let me know which sessions you plan to attend.

About the Tutors
Hi! I'm Elaina, and I'm a high school senior from TN. Outside of class, I enjoy dancing, writing novels, and playing French Horn. I've been an avid Khan Academy user for several years now, and I'm excited to give back!
I'm a high school senior from Bengaluru, India. I'm here to become a tutor so I can pass on what I've learnt to my peers and juniors.
We'll be doing a user-requested session to review and practice trigonometry and word problems for the ACT math section.
We'll be taking a full-length ACT practice test. This meeting is on a Sunday to allow adequate time to take the test in one sitting. We will adhere to the time limits for each section, and at the end of the meeting, you'll be able to score your practice test on the 36 scale to see how you would do on the actual ACT.
I'll be answering questions and helping you score your practice test if you haven't already done so. We'll celebrate completing this ACT prep course!
