Are you looking for something new to learn over winter break? Well now is your chance! This series will focus on the basics to upper beginner lessons starting with the alphabet and eventually writing paragraphs and having dialogues about a variety of topics such as medical appointments, ordering food, and talking about what you do in your free time. We will utilize games, authentic German media like short films and articles, and more to help us truly discover the German speaking world. In addition to writing, speaking, listening, and reading, we will also learn culture, geography, and customs to help you get the true idea of German life.

This course is designed for those who are self-studying and/or taking the AP Exam this May. In each session, we will go over the content and develop a deep understanding through discussion and interactive activities. We will take numerous practice exams and have consistent review schedules. This series will last from the end of September 2024 to May 2025. Since this will be a long series, please only register if you can make the multi-month commitment. In addition, for this series to be most effective, I will be capping the learner spots to 20 max. Welcome to Schoolhouse.world's Winter 2025 HOSA Events and Competition. HOSA stands for Health Occupations for Students of America, but in our case it will be for students of the world. This series ending in a competition will be great for all you hopeful doctors, nurses, dentists, psychologists, medical scientists, etc. The series will run from December-February with the competition concluding the events at the beginning of March. During this time you will choose from a selection of events and choose the one(s) you want to compete in. You will have 3 months to self-study. During those three months there will be other sessions hosted on various topics within health professions including health advocacy, a leadership conference, health professions spotlights, medical law, medical labs and much more! This event is open to everyone in the schoolhouse. Even if you don’t want to be a health professional or are not sure there are events for you including medical math, medical reading, biomedical debate, etc. Also at the end, you will get a certificate of participation if you complete all requirements.

I will post the topics each week, so you can review or learn them. The topics will cover a wide variety of chemistry content. The sessions are geared to be fun and maybe learn new topics in chemistry.

Each class we will go over specific learners needs in any topic within the scope of biology.

This series is specifically for one learner but anyone is welcome to join. We will go over any chemistry questions they have.

Each week we will learn about a new health profession or health field. The sessions will contain a small lecture and then will be some sort of activity associated with the topic for that day.

We will go over the basics of biology and biotechnology. Then dive deeper into what exactly is biotech.

AP chemistry is a tough class and any learned done before the start of the school year will give you an enormous boost for the AP and the class in general. We will be learning how to write nearly everything, from picture books to academic articles.

Every session we will learn a new fundamental of OChem. We will learn the how to understand chemical structures and what those structures mean. We will learn the different components of chemical structures.

This course is for anyone but will cater to students who have little to no knowledge of the German language. Each week or every other week, depending on your grasp of the materials, we will learn a new chapter in the Introductory German curriculum. We will practice speaking, writing, reading, and grammar. In addition to language, we will also learn about German culture and history.

In this series, we will learn all the basics of Turkish, including vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation. The goal of this series is to teach you how to speak, read, and write basic Turkish. There will be an emphasis on the speaking part as that is the hardest part of any language to understand. We will engage with each other through discussions and through utilizing the chat feature. Turkish is a beautiful language and I am excited to share it with you. Each session will consist of related vocabulary to the topic and grammar exercises. Speaking and cultural topics will also be included. The session times may change as the summer continues on. If certain times work best for you, please let me know. I will also add more office hours and catchup sessions as needed. Lastly, I will also add more sessions especially if a lot of people are interested in continuing the series.
