About

Welcome to the amazing world of genetics! In this series we will be exploring many aspects of the genetics field starting with the basics such as history and the molecular biology. As we progress through the series, we will learn more complex topics such as Extranuclear Inheritance and Epigenetics. This series will be useful for anyone interested in the genetics field, if there are other topics that I have not mentioned, feel free to let me know and I can add them.

There is no prerequisites for joining, as we will start out with the basics. Please attend as many sessions as you can as there will be no-make up sessions and I will not be sending out material. You need to attend in person to learn and take notes.

I am a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin- Madison, where I studied Molecular and Cell Biology and Scientific Communication. I currently work at an international biotechnology company working in their small molecule department as a scientist developing new medicines. I have a love of learning which has led me to be able to speak 3 languages which are English, German, and Turkish, and I am currently learning more. In addition to my academic studied, I also play numerous instruments. As a tutor, I am very passionate about helping students reach their full potential in all levels of school. I love school and want to help others gain the passion for learning and enjoy not only the outcome, but also the process. I tutor biology, chemistry, writing, German, Turkish, and a variety of AP classes to help students prep for their exams. In my free time, I enjoy crocheting, playing D&D, and watching movies/TV shows.
