Middle School Algebra! [ENTIRE UNIT]

    Ended Thu, Sep 11, 2025

If you're in grades 6-9 and want to prepare for or brush up on your middle school algebra skills, this course is for you! We'll be *loosely* following Khan Academy's curriculum for pre-algebra, but especially focusing on units that you will cover in middle school (and maybe some very basic grade 9 algebra, depending on learners' skill levels). I can also help with homework and assignments! -- Qualifications: I have a 98% in math (the average in my school is 70%). And algebra is my favorite unit!

Friendly Fire: SHW's 2025 (Un)official Debate Club ❤️‍🔥🗣️

    Ended Thu, Sep 11, 2025

Whether you're a novice or pro at the art of debate, this club is for anyone who is interested in participating in mini, low-stakes debate competitions. You'll be randomly placed into teams and given a side to "fight" for or against. Then, you'll be put in a breakout room to discuss with your teammates and research the given topic for 5 minutes before presenting your "argument" to the opposing team. You'll learn the basics of debate in this series in case you're a beginner; however, we will mostly be doing competitions. This is not a club to force your views on people or argue with them. This club is for fun only and if you do anything that makes it not fun for someone else you will be withdrawn. NOTE: I'm looking for judges!! (AKA co-hosts). DM me if interested. Basic knowledge or experience of/in debate is required, you don't need anything crazy though.

We'll have fun, interactive activities every class, and (optional) work will be assigned every week to really cement your English skills. I can also help with English-related homework and assignments and edit essays and such for school! Shameless Advertisement: If you want to learn specifically about English grammar and vocabulary, check out this series (also tutored by me!). We'll meet at 10-11 AM (EST) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays and loosely follow Khan Academy's curriculum for grammar. Fewer people can join this series, so there's more individual focus and specialized lessons. The Socrates Club 🌿

    Ended Thu, Aug 14, 2025

A summer series of casual philosophy conversations where we explore life, meaning, people, and those questions we rarely say out loud. No homework, no lectures - just honest talk with curious minds who don't claim to have the answers. Each session dives into one deep, open-ended question - like "What does it really mean to be happy?" or "Why do we care so much about what others think?" - and leaves space for whatever thoughts come up. No philosophy experience required. Just bring your curiosity, and open mind, and maybe a little wonder. Come with questions. Leave with more.
