This series is individually tailored for Fattimah, but feel free to drop in and learn with us! Anyone of any skill level (from basic to advanced) can join. We will be loosely following Khan Academy's curriculum for grammar. We'll meet on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays every week from 10-11 AM (EST), but you don't have to come every day. If you have a basic grasp of English but still wish to communicate more fluently, this course is for you! We'll cover a variety of topics like grammar, sentence structure, capitalization and punctuation to communicate more effectively, basic vocab, common phrases, listening and speaking activities, reading comprehension, and more English help to aid you on your journey of becoming a fluent English speaker. We'll have fun, interactive activities every class, and (optional) work will be assigned every week to really cement your English skills. I can also help with English-related homework and assignments and edit essays and such for school! Are you a manga/anime fan, or want to be but unsure where to start? Every week, we will vote on a manga to read the first volume of and discuss it in the following session. We'll have discussion questions at the start of the meeting, and have the chance to share our thoughts, theories, opinions, interpretations, etc, before gradually starting to just chat about the book with no guideline or discussion structure. It's a great way to make friends and talk about manga! I understand that it is difficult to acquire and finish a book every week, which is why I will be providing everyone with an online, free version of the manga we choose (legal sites like the official Shonen Jump site, online libraries, internet archive, etc)
