About

Hey there, I'm Sarah!! I'm certified in most topics on Schoolhouse, but I'm especially experienced with SAT RW and Math, Calculus (I scored a 5 on the AP Calc BC exam and am currently taking Multivariable Calculus), and Algebra 2. I also chaired for the last two Schoolhouse MUNs! I'm a high school senior in Tennessee, and I love music. I play both the piano and the violin, but I also love to listen to a wide array of music (some of my favorites are SOS by Balming Tiger and Kollage by Carly Rae Jepsen). My other passions are figure skating, fashion, the environment, math, and law, to name a few.

✨📚Study Space for Music Enthusiasts!🎧🎶

    40th session

Welcome!! We will study together using the Pomodoro technique (25 minutes of work and 5 minutes of break)! 🍅 In addition to studying, every week at the end of the session on Sunday, I'll feature a song of the week, where I'll present a song, after which we can discuss it:). There will also be a form for learners to suggest songs that they either want me to present or want to present themselves, so there may be songs of the week on some Wednesdays or Thursdays too! 🎵 During the 25 minutes of work, we will all stay on mute; I will also not be playing music during the work period because I find that, personally, even the most chill music can become distracting at times. Turning your video on is completely optional but suggested as a way for you to really concentrate on your work. 🧠 During break, we can unmute and chat about what we did in the past 25 minutes to foster a productive and encouraging environment! 🌱 Activities that participants can do during sessions are not restricted to just studying, as long as participants are not scrolling on Instagram or the like; these activities can be anything that you consider productive, from planning activities for your school club to finally practicing your instrument because your lesson is tomorrow! 🎻 I am certified in many different topics, but for the sake of maintaining a study space where everyone can concentrate on what they are doing, please do not ask any work-related questions in the session. Instead, the Schoolhouse.world subworld help channels are always a great place for you to get help with your questions! 😊 Sessions will not be scheduled too far into the future to avoid running into unforeseeable scheduling conflicts.

Thanks for the session! It was fun to learn with sarah. Discussing questions before reaching the answer really helps the conceptual understanding and understand reasoning behind it. Sarah explained things pretty well with graphs and examples. It was great!

Sarah came well-prepared and ran the session efficiently. She explained the steps for multiplying and dividing rational expressions with clarity and accuracy. Her examples were purposeful and aligned well with the topic. When the learner struggled with domain restrictions, Sarah broke down the concept step by step and clarified why certain values make the denominator zero. Her explanations demonstrated a strong grasp of the material and a consistent focus on conceptual understanding rather than memorization.

tbank you for this session it was very informative

Sarah maintained consistent engagement throughout the session. She involved the learner by asking guiding questions and prompting them to verbalize their reasoning. Rather than giving direct answers, she created opportunities for the learner to reflect and self-correct. This approach promoted active participation and supported deeper learning. The balance between instruction and dialogue was strong, and the learner remained attentive and involved.
