I plan to cover the ABCs and the numbers of this Beautiful language and by the end of the series you hopefully can greet others, introduce yourself, tell the time, ask for directions... etc Each week we will cover 4 letters and focus on one of the four communicative skills(reading, writing, listening, and speaking). I plan for this to be an interactive and discussion-based series (how else would you learn??!!) we will utilize Kahoot and Blooket, so expect a lot of fun (and a little bit of competition!)

Welcome! Are you a person looking to improve your study habits? Are you trying to improve your grades? If so, then this series might just be for you! In this mini-study group, we'll meet once a week and work on getting our assignments done, studying, or getting help from others. It is very intense, as we'll be working for long hours, but we'll take frequent breaks, and take it slow. During each meeting, we'll start out by sharing our goals to achieve by the end of the session, take a few minutes to get ourselves situated, and begin working, with 30-minute work, and 5-minute breaks. During the 30 minutes, feel free to ask any questions related to what you're working on. During those 5-minute breaks, we can share our progress, ask any questions, or get up, walk around, get a drink, etc. At the end of each session, we'll share whether if we accomplished the goals we set for ourselves, and find things we can improve on next time. We'll end the session with a study tip that we can incorporate next time. *Currently paused for the summer*

Hello Bakers! Welcome! Do you like baking? Have you ever wanted to share a recipe you invented? Do you want more people to try out your recipes? If you answered yes to any of the questions above, here's your chance. This is a Baking Contest right here at Schoolhouse, where you will get three days to come up with an original recipe (But you can get inspiration online!) bake it, give it a name, and take a picture and a video (of you explaining your desserts, and a sneak-peek of you baking it) of your dessert that you will then submit for the competition. There are no requirements to participate, just a love for baking. Six judges will look at all the submissions and decide which one is the best recipe! The rubric that judges will be using for the competition will be shared shortly after the orientation session, where more information will be given. 🤩The winners will receive King Arthur Baking Company gift cards, more info on that in the orientation session. Do you want to master the basics of grammar and improve your writing skills? If so, join me for a series of fun and interactive tutoring sessions that will cover the essential topics of grammar. You will learn how to use different parts of speech, construct sentences, and express yourself clearly and accurately. Each session will include an objective, content, and exercises to help you practice and reinforce your learning.

Hello there! In this series, we will go through all the topics in pre-algebra as a group, each week. We will be following the Khan Academy format and here is how the sessions are organized. We will have 1 session to cover 1 topic in pre-algebra, and after 3 sessions of learning and going over new topics, we will have a study space/ hall type of session, where if you missed any sessions, you can get caught up and if there was a topic you didn't fully understand, we can go over it. You can also come with any prealgebra homework questions! Attendance is optional for the study hall sessions. We will have one session per week unless that has to be canceled or delayed for any reason. We will add more sessions as we go. Space is limited as this is a small group, so please make sure to attend every session; if you miss more than two sessions without letting me or our other co-hosts know, you will be removed to make space for other learners who are interested. Excited to see you in the session!

We will have a chance to make new friends and form friendships within the pre-algebra community. If you are a beginner tutor looking for some tips before starting to teach, do not hesitate to join us. This program is similar to tutor learning circles but is specifically tailored for pre-algebra tutors. Keep in mind that additional sessions will be added in the near future. Are you planning on hosting a competition but you don't know where to start? Well, in this series, we will inspire each other with ideas for new tournaments, offer assistance to first-timers, and see some of the latest competitions happening within Schoolhouse. 7 people will be chosen as "Moderators" later in this series and their job is to co-host competitions with first-timer and to be the ones you can turn to if you want any feedback or suggestion to improve attendance or overall, people's interest in your tournament. We'll have bi-weekly sessions to discuss some tips and ideas we have for new competitions! -Keep in mind that more sessions will be added soon. -I have created a Slack channel for us so make sure you're able to access it and give me your handle so I can add you to the channel before you attend any of the sessions.

We'll announce the winner in the Awards Ceremony session. More information will be provided in the orientation session. *When the series has 18 individuals, it is considered full. Greetings everyone! In this program, you're free to work on any task you wish to accomplish. To help you focus, I will play some soothing Lofi or similar background music. We will take short breaks periodically during your study time. To stay productive, we will utilize the Pomodoro method, which involves working for 25 minutes and taking a 5-minute break. If you have any questions, feel free to message me, and I'll do my best to assist you if it lies within my knowledge and expertise.

In this series, we'll do activities such as simple arts and crafts, drawing competitions, and game nights to clear our minds and relax while doing fun things. On some nights, we might play music and I'll ask for recommendations, so please make sure to ask for appropriate songs :) The idea of this series is to have fun and relax, so let me know about things you'd like to see in future sessions through chat or feedback.
