About

Greetings to all tutors! This series is designed for us to gather once a week, exchange ideas about tutoring learners, and offer constructive feedback to each other. We will have a chance to make new friends and form friendships within the pre-algebra community. If you are a beginner tutor looking for some tips before starting to teach, do not hesitate to join us. This program is similar to tutor learning circles but is specifically tailored for pre-algebra tutors. Keep in mind that additional sessions will be added in the near future. I'm super excited to see you there! :)

My name is Liya, and I'm a high school student from Maryland who enjoys painting, writing (especially poetry), reading (my favorite right now is "The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel"), and baking in my free time. I'm a former member of the Schoolhouse Scholars Guild and the Welcoming Team. I am a student leader at my school district (Working with SMOB) and a major Potterhead ⚡ Super excited to be a part of Schoolhouse!

In this session, we'll get to know each other by playing a game, and start out the meeting by discussing some tips we have for other tutors, problems we came across during the past week of tutoring, and how we handled them, and provide constructive feedback to each other.
