Every lesson we will read a scene (chapter) of Shakespeare's Hamlet. Each student (including myself) will take on a role and read out the play as if we were performing it ourselves! The only skills you require is being able to read B (pretty good) level English aloud

Overall ,the session was smooth and well-ran! There were no technical issues in the session and there were no significant problems within the session. You explained the steps well to Maya, but also recapped on underlying concepts, such as the way a cosine graph looks, so that Maya could see where you were going throughout instead of just blindly following the steps. The only thing I could recommend is explaining a few more of the underlying concepts when you're taking the lead in homework sessions like this but your current state and ability is AMAZING!

For strengthening learner's confidence, there wasn't anything to check over because of the way the session format ended up going. For learning environment, you greeted your learner as they went in and made sure you were pronouncing their name correctly, which is definitely good since it ensures the human connection. The big thing I would recommend is asking some icebreaker questions, such as how the student is doing and where the student is at to ensure that you appear not as just a support line, but as a supporting and caring peer. Other than that, though, you have great foundations for your tutoring!
