Each week, a bit of text will be assigned from a book, and we will go over some themes and questions. The book is Confessions of an Economic Hit Man. It is John Perkins’s personal account of how he was recruited into a global system designed to expand U.S. political and economic influence. He describes working as a consultant who traveled to developing countries and created highly optimistic economic forecasts that encouraged those nations to accept massive loans for infrastructure projects. These loans often pushed countries into heavy debt, making them more dependent on the United States and its allies, while benefiting large corporations.

Each week we will cover one of the most fundamental parts of calculus. This will cover about half of Calculus AB or one semester of Calculus
